FAQs

  • Q: What is the water pressure?
  • A: Due to the complex design and working with drastic elevation changes, water pressure can vary. Bear Mountain Water District guarantees a minimum of 35 PSI at service connection.

  • Q: Do I need a pressure reducing valve?
  • A: Uniform Plumbing Code for Washington WAC 51-56-608.2 specifies that PRV's are required for water supplies exceeding 80 psi. However, Bear Mountain Water District recommends a PRV on all homes due to the fluctuating pressure needs due to elevation and demand.
